'Arwen’s Chambers' is a top-down sock pattern containing simple lace design and bobbles. The inspiration for the design comes from the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. In the movies the elvish architecture is very intricate and graceful but the main visual elements are taken from nature creating beautiful harmony with the surroundings.

The pattern is written for two sizes - 64 stitch circumference, being standard for a most of the socks, in the pattern referred to as size Medium and 72 stitch circumference, (in the pattern referred as size Large) for wider foot or slouchier look.

The pattern is designed for US 1 (2.25mm) cable needles, but feel free to adjust the needle according to your liking, the lace pattern and the overall look will not change as long as you keep relatively tight gauge.

For the socks you will use 80-97g of fingering yarn, depending on your gauge and size you knit. Any wool sock yarn will work, if it is not too drapey or thin, as it needs to hold the pattern and keep the texture of the lace and the bobbles. The pattern will bloom the best using plain, heathery or very lightly variegated colorway.

For other materials, you will need two stitch markers to help with the heel portion of the socks.
